1. Gather 2 to 4 players to begin playing 'You Hit Me!'.
2. Determine who will start the game by rolling a dice or choosing randomly.
3. Each player chooses their playing piece (could be a token or any small item).
4. Place all playing pieces on the starting space of the game board.
5. The starting player rolls a dice and moves their playing piece forward the number of spaces indicated on the dice.
