1. Set up the game by laying out the game board, which consists of a grid with various colored tiles on it. Each tile has a number on it representing its value.

2. Begin the game by selecting two adjacent tiles with the same number and color. Merge these two tiles together to create a new tile with a higher value.

3. After merging two tiles, a new tile will appear on the board to replace the merged tiles. This new tile will have a random color and value.
