About Hole.io
Hole.io is an arcade .io game where you control a hole in the ground in the middle of a city. Anything small enough to fit falls in: people, benches, cars and eventually whole buildings. The more you swallow, the bigger your hole gets.
Other holes are moving around the same city. If you are bigger, you can swallow them too, and if they are bigger, they can swallow you. Each round is short, so the goal is to grow as fast as you can and finish with the biggest hole.
How to Play
On a phone, use the game’s on-screen controls if they appear. Landscape orientation gives the player more room.
Tips for Hole.io
- Eat lots of small objects first. Growing early lets you reach cars and buildings sooner.
- Stay away from bigger holes until you are clearly larger than them.
- Corners and crowded streets are packed with easy points.

1. Start small and stay busy
At the start your hole only fits small, thin objects: people, cones and fire hydrants. Eat as many as you can without travelling far. Moving across an empty street wastes time you could spend growing.
Objects have real physics, so they must fit all the way into the hole. Some lamp posts are lopsided and will not drop in until you are bigger.
2. Go where things are packed together
Clusters of small objects add up fast. Once you are bigger, parks and blocks full of cars and trees are the quickest way to grow. Learning the city layout helps you head straight for them.
3. Tip tall objects over
A tall building you cannot swallow yet can sometimes be tipped over once you have grown a little, so its pieces fall in. Come back to big objects later instead of circling them early.
4. Do not chase other holes
Swallowing a smaller hole is worth a lot, but you usually cannot catch one, and the chase costs both of you time. Watch the bigger holes and keep away from them, and eat smaller ones only when they come close.
5. Know the mode
In Classic the biggest hole when time runs out wins. In Battle, the goal is to be the last hole left, so staying alive matters more than size. In Solo there are no opponents, just the clock.
